Construction Road Closure - Mantua East Spring Re-Piping Project:

The map attached provides information regarding road closures at the Mantua Reservoir beginning Monday, December 10, 2018 for the Mantua East Spring Re-Piping Project. During this time period access to the south side of the dike road will be closed. We will notify the public when access is again available to this area.

Thanks for the heads-up. How much will this disrupt the fishing activities do you think? I understand that parking is at a premium sometimes. Any mention or idea of how long the closure will last?

Hey Kim great info, that isn’t timed very well for ice fishing, but I guess we’ll learn to try a different parking area. Maybe I’ll learn a new area in the lake this year. Appreciate the heads up, seen all the equipment there today but didn’t see anything about the planned road closures. Thanks for passing it on. J

I sure do like dropping my gear there then go to the parking lot.

And walking from there all the way to the east side will not be for the faint of heart. And parking with trailers on the west side will be a limiting factor as well. I guess we'll see more OHVs there this winter. Barney will have a field day writing up parking violations. [cool]

Yes, it's not going to be fun. Parking there has always been a hassle anyways.
