4" of ice yesterday.
Even watched an airplane land on ice as we were leaving.

Holy Smokes. I would hate to go nose down through the ice in an airplane. Did you have a chance to fish while you were there? What part of the lake did you have 4" of ice? I am headed up there on Thursday. Thx

Fished down by South Point.
There were people on both East and West sides of the lake, if that helps.

I fished it on Friday, December 14th and it was slow. 4 inches (ish) of ice as reported.

Five of us fished from about 9am to 1pm and three of us got skunked! The other two guys each iced one fish and they lost one more at the hole. I'm not an Otter Creek expert so take it for what it's worth. I've always heard early ice at Otter Creek was really good...but it wasn't on this day. =)

Two of the guys that were fishing with us commented that the water was really low compared to previous years. We fished on the west side near what the guys were calling "Tamarisk Point" (?). We hardly marked any fish here.

Then we tried farther south...maybe nearer the state park. We marked several fish. They would occasionally nibble...but never fully take it.

We did good not great. My wife actually took me to school.
Son in Law went yesterday and they did purdy good from what he reported to us.
