Any updates on the ice conditions at Echo and Mantua? Any reports on how the edges have been holding up, general ice thickness, etc? Hoping to get out for the first time this season but don't want to go for a swim!

I got a report today that the edges at Echo were refrozen. The reporter had taken a plank but didn't need it. They'll probably stay solid as we move into this cold stretch from now till New Year's Day. I, like you, am anxious to hear how it is at Mantua.

Mantua was 4 inches thick yesterday. Edges were solid

Fished on Echo this morning. 4” solid ice. Edges were mushy on the way out (11:00 AM). Someone did feel adventurous and tried to drive a side by side on the ice. They got out about 10’ and sunk right in. Lucky they were in only 3 feet of water.
