I fished Pineview today in hopes of finding some crappie. Started fishing about 6:45 this morning and was marking huge schools of fish, but no bites. Fish started biting about sun up, but the big schools disappeared. Caught several tiny crappie off the bottom before marking a couple suspended fish about 15’ down in 38 fow. That ended up being the only good sized crappie of the day. Went on to catch a bunch of 4” perch, a couple more tiny crappie, and a small bluegill. I don’t carry a tape but I’d guess the ice was 5-7 inches with a lot of slush and water on top. My feet got soaked and my sonar died, so I didn’t stick around for the evening. Beautiful day ran across a moose on the way back.
