Two of us fished Echo, 0800 to 1 p.m. .. Not as warm there as we thought, abt 20* to start, but ok not to put up tents...no wind 'til abt 1130, but lite...fishing was amazing for perch...unfortunately abt 9 out of 10 were the dinks, abt 4 to 6", and released, except for maybe 2 used for donor parts.....so we each brought home 4 nicer perch, my largest just over 11"....so no big ones schooled up anywhere near us....no problem with slush today, but if it stays warm, the next day or two may have some slush, as there is a good 7 or 8" snow on top....ice a good 7 or 8" thick, and edges near ramp weak for maybe only 2 to three ft....Sat. will be a circus out there again...Guluk..

Thanks for the report Joe, sounds like you did better than most people. How deep of water were you fishing in?

We were in about 25, 26 FOW....my buddy was out there again today (Fri. A.M.) and did about the same, but he was out more in the middle.....you do any good there?

I was there today. Good fishing early. Some trout at 10 feet down. Atv's had good conditions moved without trouble. Good vehicle access. Lots of people on the ice.

Did you get into the perch too, or just trying for the rainbows?

I was with doitall5000. We fished the bottom and he picked up a few small perch after he conferred with our neighbors and got the right combo figured out. I don't seem to be getting many perch lately. My excuse is that I'm trying for trout. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
