I am trying to catch some white bass for fresh catfish bait. Can anyone give me specific info on where and how around Lincoln Beach and Provo Harbor? I know we had a big thread recently on white bass, but it went far and wide, especially with TD's excellent write-up. I'm hoping someone can get very specific. Thanks for any help you can provide.

[#0000FF]Water is murky and cold...and food supplies are scarce. White bass are not schooling up for any reason, but are wandering far and wide to try to find food or warmer water. Not many spots that offer both so not really anything to recommend to find quantities.

[#0000FF]That will change about the end of April to the middle of May, when the whities school up for the spring fling. Look for them at the mouths of flowing tributaries or around wave washed rocky shorelines. Their preferred locations change from year to year with changes in water levels and weather patterns.[/#0000FF]

[#0000FF]If you can find harbors with more than about 3-4 feet of depth around the docks you can likely find a few white bass...and some early crappies. Otherwise it will take a lot of casting and searching between fish.
