With all the great reports from the MLF event on the Chick I thought I'd give it a try. The water has come up some and Wednesday evening was a super nice day. I got out for a few hours after work. Fished down low around the dam. Water temps were middle 60s, clarity very good except right on the bank where boat traffic waves had muddied the water. I managed 10 fish in the boat (8 spots, 1 LM, 1 big Drum) All fish caught on finesse worms. It didn't seem to matter if they were on a shakey or just T'rigged. I caught fish from 2' deep to 20' deep. I'm sure fish are now in all stages: some pre, some on the beds, and some post. Had a fun few hours - off the water by 8:00 pm. Lots of people out, especially for a Wednesday. With our lakes being so crowded I'll say this ---- Be safe and look out for the other guy and for please Be courteous. We all get excited and caught up with our passion for fishing but let's don't let that excitement disconnect our brains -- treat the other fishermen (both in a boat and on the bank) as you would want to be treated. Thanks!
