You'e welcome. It was fun to meet everyone and to have a few minutes to just talk.

Sounds like a great gathering, wished I could have made it. How was the catching over all?
Thanks,

I would have to say the fishing was about average. Nearly everybody caught at least one and one person reported catching ten by heading across to the other side of East Bay. Ice_sled may have caught one but it was a 29.5"er, upping himself into a tie for second place in the Catfish Contest. If you want to see a real big old toad head on over to the contest board and click on his post.

I'm sorry I don't think I got the chance to meet you, or if I did I didn't put the face to the name. I'm glad you were able to join us. It was a fun time to meet lots of great folks that were a lot of fun to visit with. I have to admit my memory is terrible so we may have chatted and I didn't catch your screen name, if so I'm sorry for my poor memory... I ended up getting so scattered I didn't even remember to hit Pat up for a flig fix... But he was pretty busy with the filleting demo when I went to pick up a little trash and when I got back I guess he had already left.. Fun get together though and the facilities were very nice... I think Jim does a great job down there... Craig picked us a wonderful day for weather and the traffic even treated me well on the way home, so I was pretty happy with the event... Next time I'll have to make sure I find you and say a proper hello.. Later Jeff

[#0000FF]Enjoyed meeting you and Cookie. And I have enjoyed your posts. You are a fine addition to our fambly.[/#0000FF]

[#0000FF]Thought I saw you guys out swinging a detector on the exposed flats as I left. Did you find anything worthwhile? My wife and I have also worked that area in the past but other than a few corroded low denomination coins all we have found is a lot of nails and some pop tops. During higher water levels that is a popular place for anglers (and partiers) to park just above the water line. Some of them burn wood and some nails are left behind. More than a few folks who have driven down there have had the fun of changing a tire before they could go home.[/#0000FF]

[#0000FF]Hope the "light reading" helps you guys improve your learning curve on that lake. It is a great pond.

Jeff we said hi really quick, but the oppurtunity never came to get some serious fish, chat time in. Look forward to it. To identify me look for large Quigly Down Under type hat. Or look for a man who is three species behind his wife in the Utah Fishing Grand Slam already this year - you know that broken and beat look of despair and desperation.

The metal detecting finds were: 1 tire wt, multiple tin foil and pop tops, some fishing sinkers ( I appreciate the donation to my tackle box), 4 metal screws, and some unidentified lumps that high peaked on my detector. Still sorting out what they are. Not even an old penny this time.

Next time you see me pull out the detector, sneak out and burry a few of them sturgeon fligs. They would look sweet in my hat band.

[#0000ff]They make purty earrings too. But if you don't crimp the barbs down for the sturgeon the points go into the ears easier than they come out later.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I do make other creations that are fishy-feathery...like earrings and pins. What color goes best with your purty eyes?[/#0000ff]

Sorry about that, but I'm sure we will cross paths again someday... I'll remember what to look for... I know the look, I wear it quite often... Best of luck to you and the crew... Later Jeff

Cookie raised three boys, so she says pink. That doesn't make sense to me but, but I learned not to argue if I want to eat
