Barry and his son joined me this afternoon on Utah Lake. First stop was where the Provo River enters Utah Lake to catch some white bass for bait. We were surprised to find that the white bass were not in there thick. After several casts, I caught one, so we at least had some bait.
Next stop was in Provo Bay. Barry's son immediately hooked up and we caught a few more but it was on the slow side. Moved to another spot in Provo Bay and caught a few more.
Next stop was Bird Island. The catching was a little better there, but still not super fast. After a couple hours, the wind came up and we decided it was time to get off of the water.
Barry's son landed the largest fish of his life (went 28 1/2") and so he was happy.
I didn't ding a prop, caught a few fish, and had great company, so it was a great day.
