I just got back into fishing after 10+ years this past Sunday when a neighbor who I have become buddies with ask me if I wanted to go out fishing. I grew up pond fishing in backwoods of Mississippi where you couldn't throw a rock without hitting a pond. Then as a teen my family moved to FL and I took to saltwater fishing. Then about 15 years ago moved up to middle TN where my wife is from and while I am surrounded by lakes I could just never get where I wanted to fish without a boat so put my gear in storage and took to other hobbies. This past weekend a neighbor asked if I wanted to go fishing so I dug my old gear out of the garage and hopped in the boat. He is more of a crappie fisher but now he wants me to go out fishing with him more for bass after watching me catch my first bass in years.
So my buddy and I decided to do a little fishing yesterday afternoon rain or shine. Was cloudy and overcast with little sprinkles here and there all the way to the time we started heading in when it decided to pour on us just as it was getting dark.
Anyways, we caught a few fish and ended up with a story to tell.
