Fished Lost Creek yesterday morning. The water has cleared quite a bit since I was there a few weeks ago. The streams seem to be clearing up as well. The fishing was good for small rainbows trolling 25 to 35 feet deep. The best lure was a pink squid and flasher. We also did well using trolling spoons tipped with a burkley maggot.

We tried pitching skirted jigs along the bank and caught a couple of larger fish but nothing over the slot. The best success came from keeping the jig in close contact with the bottom and hits would come as you started to raise the jig off the bottom as you got closer to the boat.

Trolling seemed to produce much better action though the fish were generally smaller. We also had better luck with downriggers than fishing closer to the surface.

The bait fishermen seemed to be doing ok as well.

Thanks for the report, another member was just asking about lost creek, maybe this info will help him. Has all the snow melted in the hills above the lake?

The snow around the reservoir is all gone. Couldn't see any snow on the surrounding hills. The creeks were clearing as well although I'm sure there must still be a little snow in the higher elevations.

Did you see any deer or turkeys on the drive up?

Earlier in the year the deer and Turkey were all over in the fields on the way up but the last trip up we only saw a couple of deer. We were a little later in the morning this time which may have played a part but I think they are beginning to move up the mountain.
