For those who really care!, I had a no fish catching day on fork today. Fished about 3 hours in the grass with timber where I have been catching quite a few, but today no luck at all. We had a cold front blow through yesterday but did not seem to affect the pressure. It was below 30.00 which usually during the winter enables me to catch atleast 10 or more on a shallow running crank bait even with the water around 47 degrees, they would crash it as if it was a buzzbait or pop r. Odd but works. Today had all the right ingredients, 53 degree water, clear water with lots o grass and low pressure. There must be something else associated with a front that cannot be seen or measured. Any thoughts? I have determined my trips are not worth the gas if not atleast 3 days after a front regardless of the pressure. I have tried to track my trips and over the last 20 all but 2 trips payed off with the pressure below 30.25 unless immediately following a front, which usually causes the pressure to sky rocket, but not our last 2. Any suggestions on what to do, I am figuring the fish are suspended or so deep in the grass I can't even get a jig to entice them.
