Hey to all,<br />Since I rarely get to come fish Chic, I usually don&#39;t have much to share but I finally got to go so I get a chance to contribute! Or at least, let you all know what not to do, emoBig
. I put in at Harrison Bay and fished around the islands for little while at first light. I found very little activity in the surface grass, but caught several on walking baits around the grass edges. One went just over 4lbs, the others were squeakers. As the sun got up, I moved out to the ledges and kind of struggled a little bit. Graphed and fished from Harrison Bay to above the nuc plant, but never really was able to fire a school up. Heck, I never even really found a good sized school that I was certain was bass. Not sure if it was the cloud coverage or what, but the fished seemed very scattered. One thing was constant though, it didn&#39;t matter wear I stopped I marked bait for days! I don&#39;t think I&#39;ve ever marked that much bait on Chic before. Almost to the point where I think there was so much bait the fish didn&#39;t feel the need to chase much. Unreal. We did catch fish through out the day, but it was one of those days were you felt like you were missing something. Stuck some pretty decent fish though, with biggest going a little over 7lbs emoDance . Most of bites we got on the ledges were on the ol&#39; shakey head (gotta love it), with fish mostly ignoring big cranks and swimbaits. The majority of the fish were marking in 20ft or so. As the day progressed I moved off the ledges and covered water in the slews and around docks with jigs and swimbaits, sporadically catching fish to finish the day. I live just north of Atlanta so any time I get to come up and fish it&#39;s a win, but the theme of the day was not feeling like I was on the best bite.
