If I wanted to attach advertising with photos that when clicked on will redirect viewers to other websites, would that be ok?

PM sent but for others that are interested, the answer is no, links are not allowed for that purpose, unless you pay for that right. I can give anyone the info they need to advertise on BFT but it is not free.
