well went to fish lake over the weekend, took the 14 foot jon boat out! caught probably 150-200 perch filleted maybe 50 then put the rest in gallon bags for bait for the rest of the kitty season, only 5 bows, caught one jigging a castmaster with chub meat, caught one on a a changeable craw maniac minnow, and the rest trolling a pink squid behind a dodger, the white or black gizzy bugs absolutely out fished all the other baits while perch fishing which was different because we usually hammer them on gulp minnows but seemed they wanted something different this time, good luck!

tried jigging, drifting bait, trolling on bottom, no lakers, also same techniques for more trout they were few and far between this weekend maybe moon or something but usually we catch a ton of splake jiggin and none this trip?

Sounds like a fun trip. I went down a couple of times last winter and had a blast. Maybe now that I have a boat I can go down on the soft water.

Do you fish those littler perch whole or cut in half? I had a bunch last year but lost them all in a freezer meltdown. Have they been good on the UL cats?

i love the 5 inch and smaller perch whole for utah lake cats, the work awesome and i typically stock up on them enough i dont have to chase whitebass all summer
