Had an interesting day... started out at spot number one and threw the frog (Ribbit and topwater) for only a couple blowups but no takers. Had fish busting schools of bait everywhere. Started throwing a spinnerbaits and boated the first keeper. Caught several more but nothing worthy of a ride to the ramp. Mike still had not contributed to the live well...emoPoke... informed him it was a team event... emoLaugh...Moved on to spot number 2 ,3,4, & 5 with no luck. Finally about 12:30 went to the hump in middle of Chester Frost and caught keeper number 2. Think with about 45 minutes left till weigh in , Mike decided to join the party. He boated #3, and then culled one of mine. With 15 minutes left till weigh in I looked down and now depthfinder was showing low battery alarm. Went to start the big motor and battery was dead. Told mike to stand on the trolling motor pedal and head towards ramp. I was hooking up jumper cables to the trolling and starting batteries...not success in jumping. After weigh in I had to use the trolling motor to load the boat. Ended up with 5 lbs and some change. Had fun never the less and was good to see some familiar faces and some new ok ones as well. Glad everyone stayed safe and looked like we had a descent turn out. Looking forward to next year and Congrats to Earl Westbrook and Ronnie Sexton for A.O.Y. and the win today.
