Got on the river before daylight. Looked like running 4 turbines. I do like some current. I have been taking Chris below the dam for a couple years now. He is a fast learner.

We were catching small to midsize LM pretty regularly and Chris also got a nice flathead, bluegill, couple of gar and a google eye.

I functioned as his handy netman. When the sun got up we moved up to the wall to get in the shade. So did a few bass. "fish on" Chris is hooked up on a good fish. Wasn't coming up so I figured blue cat or drum. Nope, It finally came up some and we could see a good bass.. I grabbed the small net I keep up front and scooped her up. Fish was bigger than the net, but got lucky. 10# on the boga grip and a PB for Chris. He added that to an 8.5 and a 9.5 that I "guided " him to last year.

I am not taking him there anymore. This was just the second trip recently as I had heart surgery in early may, and hadn't fished since April. We left about 11 when it got too hot to fish. Fun morning.

Thanks to Nauticman (Pete) for showing me the ropes on the river several years ago. Love to fish below the dams.

Regards, Norman
