I was able to get out for about 3 hours hitting the water about 3:30 in the evening. I've been real busy this summer and to be honest the few times I got to go the fishing was so slow. For me this summer was the slowest I can remember on the Chick. I decided to try Riverpark hoping the current (about 19K flow) would provide for a spot bite. I managed to boat 5 bass in the 3 hours and was pleased to have a smallie, 3 spots, and a largemouth. Not often I boat all three types of bass on the same trip. It was very hot for late September with the water temp around 82 degrees. As I said flow was 19K which is about where I like it. Water clarity was very good since we haven't had much rain. All fish were caught on soft plastic finnessee style worms (green pumpkin). 2 fish came from right off the bank while the other three were a little further out but not deeper than 12'. I had fun, it was great to get out, my tin boat ran well (knock on wood!) and life it good! I'm always looking on the bright side so October and November should see the bite really picking up. Everyone be safe, be polite to others, and be thankful!
