In the past, I have looked at shade tents to make bank tangling a little more enjoyable. Most of those I have seen were too short for my liking, capping at about 51". Being a large man, I require a little more headroom than that even to sit comfortably in a camp chair.
So I put the question to all of you: Have you used a shade tent (preferably open on one side only) that you would recommend? Easy set up is always a plus, but not critical.
Thanks Rocky,
That chair looks great for maybe an hour or two at a parade. I generally fish with one or two kids, and I was hoping for something we could sit under together.
To clarify my need, even my youngest at 8 years old is 56 inches. My son and I were the two tallest people at the last Willard Flotilla when he was only 14, so we are not small people. We need a little more head/leg room than some. The place we go most often has a grassy bank right to the water's edge. Maybe I just need to look for a small camping tent. I have considered using my ice tent, but it has no screens for obvious reasons, and a quick egress can be a little more complicated when a fish bites.
Any suggestions are welcome.
Thanks Craig, that certainly looks more like what I need, but I have been in denial thinking there must be some middle ground. I'll look into it some more.
