I didn't get out many times this season, but had fun with friends and family when I got out. I'm still using my vintage Mora hand auger and at my age finding it get more difficult to drill holes, especially as the season progresses. I used a couple cordless drill this season and was sold on that concept. However, my expense account is tight so I often shop off-season for gear. I snagged a clam plate auger kit today at a sweet discount (about $60) on ebay. Many availalble now so a heads up and check for end-of-season deals. Happy drilling projected for next season.
