I will be at Pine Valley over the next few days. I am aware of the pond there full of planters. I was wondering how the streams are in the area? Would it be worth it to take a 4 Wt fly rod with me?

yes. The Santa Clara has a lot of brown trout in it.

There are numerous other streams that have trout as well, including native bonneville cutthroat trout.

I ended up taking the fly rod and caught one of those browns.
