Went to Moon Lake over the weekend and did ok catching mostly planter rainbows, although some tiger trout, splake, kokanee, and cutthroat were also landed. Most were caught while trolling wedding rings and triple teasers, although fly/bubble, and casting spinners were productive as well. None of the rainbows were tagged.
Did not have any luck jigging with tubes/grubs, although that is more likely to me not having a clue about what I was doing.
The most productive method all weekend were a few kids (ages 8-10) on a paddleboard, trolling a power-egg under a 1/8 oz weight. Every time they went out, morning, afternoon, evening, windy, calm, etc. it was fish on every 2-3 minutes. Things like that result in questioning all the fancy lures and gear sitting in the tackle box!
