Left Utah yesterday am just before sunrise and got to see the sunset on the Pacific just below Brooking Oregon on the way to the Rouge River to chase King salmon for 2 weeks on our annual trip. Weather is cool ( which I prefer) and seeing people catching fish this am. Our 1st day on the water will be tomorrow, updates to follow

WOOHOO, HOGS I like HOGS  Big Grin
Awesome catch. Salmon is my favorite fish to eat. We eat it a couple of times a month. I'm jealous of the fish and the temps.
Thanks it’s definitely a great eating fish and good fighting. Lots wind over here so far with the temps supposed to be in the 80’s here, still better then the 90-100 degree temps.
Will you share with us the cost for boat and charter to fish. Are you using your own boat?

Getting on a boat with a guide is $250 per person full day, most can handle 4-5 people and if you have a full boat the rate per person goes down. We are in my buddies boat
Finally we boated another King today, been a tough Week as far as the bite, hopefully our last day tomorrow will be more productive

Funny.  Kings bring the highest price but are my least favorite to eat.  My wife actually prefers Strawberry Kokanee over any other salmon.  I like Kokes about as much as coho, chinook is a somewhat distant third.  Fun to catch, though.  Coho have firmer and more brightly colored flesh.
