Echo 12/14
Perch 4"
Seemed extra small haha
I think I caught him last week. He has grown a bit. He might go 4.5 as his tail is slightly off the board, but we will book a 4" for ya.

Good for 18. Seen you there. Not really just seen the small army camped there that you was amongst
I bet there was 1000 people on the ice. It was a lucky catch on the bottom in 40' of water, tungsten jig tipped with wax worm using JJ.
JJ= jaw jacker

I will be the the first to admit I can't tell a green sunfish apart from a gillvery well so unless someone objects i will let them post.
To me they look both like gills.
Look at how far the mouth extends beyond the eye, much bigger mouth on the green sunfish. They are also not as round and tall as bluegill. Green sunfish also have a lot more orange and electric blue coloration.
I worked at steinaker and pelican lake in 2011 and caught a ton... Green sunfish are way more rare, but the difference is clear when you have caught a few.
It's a bluegill and a green sunfish. The yellow/orange coloration of the fins is a characteristic. They really are quite easy to tell the difference once you have a little experience catching and handling them.
my comment was also a hyrid of some sort.
