Hey there Dryrod,
Aha ha! So you're starting to do the Word 'thing'! Very good! I prefer to embed mine clear through and as it is curved make sure the tip of it is still back in the soft rib or soft part.

I've never tried hiding the hook in the body. I've always had it exposed. But I hear that fish are more likely to bite if they don't see the hook.

I skin hook mine. Just a little bit of the point is inbedded.

I always expose the hook. I've never hassled with trying to get it just below the surface of the plastic or anything like that. I believe it's very useful if you're trying to go weedless, but as far as if the fish are going to refuse it because the see the hook....I don't believe it. If they see it at all they'll probably think that it's just a piece of debris on it or a piece of entrail sticking out or something. Beside the fact that in anything but the most clear water they can't even see it that well anyway.

I hook them both ways. Sometimes it is for weedless and others just for appearance as well as element.

I also hook them both ways. If I'm in an area that doesn't have very many snags I almost always leave the hook exposed.

hey
i hook them both ways
when im fishing for walleye or some other river fish i usually go with an exposed hook with plastics, but when im fishin for bass i usually go for just the hook point
works way better in cover!!

I prefer for the hook to not show for weeds sake. I caught many Bass on Texas Rigged Worms last summer! Real and plastic worms! As a matter of fact, I caught my biggest bass last year on a Texas Rigged Night Crawler.

I always hide the point when LMB fishing, but won't bother when fishing for other fish. Must be superstitious[crazy]

] There are so many snags, trees, wood, weeds and just plain structure where I fish that an exposed hook means a lost lure on the first cast. If you don't put the lure where the fish live, you're wasting your time.
