Headed over to southern Oregon (Coquille River) and then down to Nor Calif (Smith River) for our annual steelhead trip. Thought we were going to be in between the storms but that was not the case, 2 days on the Coquille in dirty waters didn’t produce any action, the Smith was on the rise for the 1st day and a half and Friday dropping. Did get 3 nice steelhead on the Smith and lost 4 others between the 2 of us along with a bunch of 1/2 pounders. Had a good time and have booked for next year.

Thanks Jeff, they are fun for sure, both rivers we were probably no more then 25 miles from the ocean so they are a bit sporty  Big Grin

Side drifting, aka bottom bouncing with a weight and either roe, yarnies or soft beads

Thanks for the reply, I'll get up there someday! Until then all I can do is read and watch videos!

Never measured any of them, all wild fish have to be released so a quick pic and back they go
Nice fish buddy. Looks like a great trip.
