Went Saturday afternoon by myself.  It was windy, but nice and toasty inside the tent.  Fish seemed to like the color orange. Ice/snow/slush was a good 24" thick. There were some area of slush, but I had on snowshoes, so it wasn't a big deal for me. Might have been with a wheeler. I think snowmobiles would be fine. Hoping to head back up this weekend.

How were the crowds on Saturday - they thinning at all?

Not quite as many as in the past, but pretty close to the same.  Still lots of room if you go more than a couple hundred yards from the parking areas.
