I took my boys and my dad up to the ladders last Saturday evening. I got a little wet trying to get on the ice, but then we found a way on a couple hundred yards north of the first attempt.
We fished in 23' and white UV cut'r bugs (man I wish Maniac was still around) with a mealworm seemed to work the best. Other colors were okay. We caught a bunch of slot cutties, had a dinner on the ice and a lot of fun.
I thought that it might be my last trip, but I still have the itch. Has anyone been up there this week? Is the ice reachable with waders?
