Fisherman Catches Giant 5-Pound Redear Sunfish on Lake Havasu (msn.com)

i knew they were big from eating mussels but wow

Zebra/Quaggas are making a small contribution. Hope UDWR and USFW can come to an agreement soon on redear's for Powell .Although the Greenies and Bluegill are trying their best to control them in Powell !!

I used to fish Guntersville Lake near Huntsville in northern Alabama a lot for shell crackers which is a sunfish. We caught nice size slabs of fish but nothing like this in Lake Havasu.
