Randy and my father in law Sid joined me for a trip to American Falls Reservoir. We launched around 6:30am at the ramp by the dam and fished until 11:30am. If it wasn’t for Randy snagging some one else’s line tangled in a brush pile we would have been skunked. We where constantly marking fish from the bottom At 37’ up to the surface, I suspect most where carp. We tried all if our favorite stuff J-7 Rapalas, flicker shad, various spoons and even Kokanee gear, we couldn’t buy a bite. All in all a beautiful morning on the water with good company. We paid our dues today.

Sounds like a tough day but thanks for the report and pics, I hear there are sturgen in AF, is that above the dam or below it?

Both: above (some by Idaho Falls) and immediately below it.
