Went fishing for panfish at UL with friends yesterday.  Can’t ask for a nicer day to be with friends out on the ice.  Caught some crappies, perch, and my biggest carp through the ice.

Nice catch. What did the carp go for?
Those carp have a lot of power, must have been tough getting it through the hole, how long did you fight it before you got it onto the ice?

I caught it on a Marabou jig.  With 4 lb test it took about 15 minutes to get it.  I thought that it would spool me a  few time when it was peeling line because I put about 30 yds on the reel.  It was quite a workout for me with the short pole.
Sooo coool way to go, congrats on a great catch... Thanks for the post... J
Wow! That's a very nice carp.
