Went to Scofield Tuesday night and Wednesday.  Ice measured 8 and a half inches and is solid clear ice. There is about two inches of snow on the ice, but in a lot of places the snow has been blown off the ice and it's like a skating rink. I was at Madsen Bay and the ramp is dry all the way to the ice. You can drive down and drop your gear.  Parking lot is dry as well.  I took my atv with chains on the rear because of the sheer ice spots. Drove out about a mile to the west with no problems at all.  Fishing was good both in the night and morning.  Died off about 10:00 in the morning as usual.  Caught around 60 fish between the two times, all cutts except one rainbow and one tiger.
Can you get a snowmobile to the lake? Wondering about driving it to the lake from a parking lot. Thabks.
It is totally dry in the lot and the ramp. You can however dri down to the ice and unload there.
Thanks. This information is much appreciated. I'll post after our trip tomorrow.
