Has anyone checked the west end of Hyrum yet? I know the east end is still open water, but I was curious if that west end around the ramp is thick enough to get on it yet? Really weird year with all the open spots on Hyrum, I know it will take some spudding to be safe on that pond since it sure didn't freeze very uniformly this year... I suspect the west end will be getting close for the thin skin water walkers... I didn't tell you to try it, but if you do let me know how it was... Later Jeff

Looked unsafe yesterday with scattered wet spots in snow. No tracks and two guys with auger on shore by dam looked about ready to turn back. Lots of rocks on ice all along dam, looked to be a auger killing minefield for a good ways out.

There are 2 guys fishing along the face of the dam near the southwest corner, not far off the dam face
