My oldest daughter and I have been patiently waiting for our higher waters to ice-off, and that time finally has arrived. We hit Panguitch this past weekend, and as always...it did not disappoint! Got there a little after 7am to a balmy 30 degrees, had the place to ourselves. Water was noticeably lower with the draw down to fix the dam, but wasn't that bad. Threw my specialty leeches all day and rarely went a cast without a hookup or miss the entire day! 10% tigers, 20% cutts and 70% bows. We finally had to leave the fish biting around 2pm to get back home. We never moved an inch the entire day and caught easily close to a hundred fish. That place in incredible! We'll be back up there after we hit some of our other favorite ice-offs the next few weekends. So much ice-off to fish and such little time to do it! Love this time of year!

We didn't venture too far down that direction knowing the road would be closed at some point, but from what we could see from where we were, they had a lot of machinery down there...
Dude, some of those bows are almost SQUARE!
Is that darker one milting on your hand?
I decided to not make a joke about handled that fish.
Sounds like an excellent day; thanks for sharing.
