Just wondering if it's freeing there yet?

50 and been windy, not likely.

Just drove by. North and south ends looked capped but open water in the middle. 
Might be another week or so before safe ice. 

Thanks so much for the drive by report and pics.

Went up yesterday. 6” of ice, but it was an ice rink. So we didn’t use the sled. Looks like a pressure ridge too to the north. We fished West Bank. Started in 10fow caught about 15. Nothing too big, moved to 18fow about 1pm and got into them. Caught another 30 before we left at 2:30. Only a few over 2lbs.  White atomic teaser with orange tail seemed to be the ticket.  I did lose a pole.  ?.  Txt me if you catch a fish with a blue BeaverDam rod a Pflueger reel.  There are some big ones in there.

Great report, thanks for sharing it with us. Too bad you lost the rod and reel, that's happened to me as well. Were there many other fisherfolks up there?

There were about 6-7 other groups. One lad walked across and fished the east side

Do you eat the trout out of Chesterfield? Last time I tried them there they had a mossy taste to them.
