I went to the ais mussel site and it looks like we can just renew our sticker this year without taking the course again is that true or do we have to take the class again anyone knows?
I believe each year will be another take the test and pay the sticker. I also went to take test and still shows 2024.

Thanks Kim I guess they don't want us to fish in January. I will check on Monday and let you know what I find. Thanks Bill
I've been bouncing in & out of the AIS site for renewal also. Haven't seen anything for 2025 yet.  Angry

I went to the DNR ais vessel registration site and it had a renew button then it went to a pay page but I wasn't sure if it was where I needed to be. I will keep looking.

I'm one of those guys that like to get things done early also. I'm a little disappointed that the new test hasn't been available yet.
I was that way last year about this time and went out and got my new park pass and AIS sticker and all, then I didn’t use it until last Saturday for the first time. So that was an expensive trip. Should have bought daily last year. Later J

AIS
UPDATE talked to the DNR and was told that you don't have to take test to renew your sticker .The mussel test is for the paper for the truck.Hope that helps. Thanks Bill
So it sounds like you still need both methods to pass the requirement... Thanks for the feedback....
I texted one of my AIS contacts at UDWR today 12/30. I was told, "they will have the new AIS test on line sometime in January". No other explanation, so please don't ask me for more info. But, I think that if UDWR wants the anglers to take this test (and all AIS stuff) seriously, then they should also take things a bit more seriously and have the 2025 test ready to go a couple weeks before they are required. It can't be that difficult to update the test have one of the web masters get it posted.

What a novel idea - employees actually doing the job they are being paid to do.  And doing it on time.  I love it Scott.

Well, it looks like the Bear Lake Fish Guy got their attention.  Smile

The 2025 AIS test is available now.

Sorry, I jumped the gun.  It's not until tomorrow. Sad

Just finished my course and paid my fees for 2025
HAPPY NEW YEAR to all
Just completed the test and paid my fine of $20 for decal  Big Grin
My boat registration expires the end of November. I always wait until Jan to renew because that two-month gap really screws up the AIS decal timing. Glad to know it's all available now. Thanks.
Just completed the course and paid $20 for a decal. I have also renewed my Idaho fishing license and already paid and received my Idaho 2025 invasive sticker decal. My five-year Utah fishing license expires on 12/29/25. I wonder if I will feel confident enough to purchase another five-year fishing license.
It worked for 2025 and I got my sticker ordered today too. Happy New Year and tight lines!

I like how the DWR states that the five-year license is the best deal.

There is no difference in the yearly cost.  Big Grin
