There is another ice fishing option, I fished Pineview yesterday from 12:30-2:30 pm and from 7:00-11:30am this morning. I parked at Windsurfer beach parking lot, today there was 6” of solid clear ice with great edges and a skiff of snow on top. I caught a bunch of 6-10” perch most being 8-9”. I got them on a Gizzy bug on a dropper under a small kastmaster initially tipped with meal worm then perch eyeball. My best depth was in the mid 30’s, the perch are tight to the bottom and come through in waves. Several dozen groups of anglers were out there both days. There was open water between the buoy line and the dam so the caretakers acces is not quit ready to go. I was not expecting to see Crappie in the afternoon yesterday and was hoping to find them this morning, but they never came through hopefully they show up this winter.
Nice report, thanks for sharing and including the picture!
Thank you for the detailed report! I appreciate you sharing the ice thickness, edge conditions, approximate depth of the fish and what they were biting on!
I hope to be out tomorrow with the masses!

Nice job Shawn, I’m sure it won’t be long and you will be into the crappie
Thanks, it's a crazy ice fishing, or lack there of, year.
