Fished Otter Creek wed.  It was 11 degrees at 9am when we got there. There was only one other boat on the water when we got there and it left just after we did. It never got above 30 degrees.  Ice forming both on the line and line guides.  (hate that)
Fishing was a bit slow but fast enough it kept us entertained.  The fish were all football shaped.  The largest fish we caught scaled at 3 lbs.  Most all of the fish were between 2 1/4 and  3 lbs.
There was what I call spider ice in some places.  I don't know the actual name for it but it is the real fine first ice that looks a bit like spider web.
My brides rod was the hot rod and she was real pleased with this.  She loves it when she is catching more than I am.  I like it also but don't want her to know that so I'd moan complained when she would hook up again.
It sounds like ice fishing is done at Otter Creek.

Pretty sure you're right.  I don't think there will be enough steady cold to get enough cap to get onto it.
