Thanks for any info!

T did a drive by of East Canyon on my way home from Echo today, from the road and the top of the ramp it looked really good, think I'm going there in the morning. I got wet coming off Echo today when I stumbled and fell to my knees stepping down off the solid ice into the mid calf deep water on the edge. I think its time to start caring a plank in the back of my truck.

Thank you!  Any other reports on Pineview and Rockport?
I also checked Echo. Very poor edges. There was a plank on the boat ramp. Ice is pretty good once you get on it. The new snow is covering some of the pressure ridges but the afternoon sun likey will clear the visual up.

Was going to drive up to LC and check as there has been very little info on it, but got side tracked.
JMorFish is fishing RP this morning. Perhaps he will comment on conditions, but I would bet they are similar to Echo. It’s getting to be plank time…especially on warm afternoons. That or waders, which is what I like to use this time of year. They worked great at Echo today!
Thank you everyone for your input.

I went to Rockport this morning (Sat).  Temp was 8 degrees.  I brought a plank but the Edges were solid getting on and off.  Mud was frozen when I got there, muddy when I left at 10:30.   Evidence of water on the edges, could have been from the slush from previous.  Ice was clear and solid, I didn't measure, I would estimate 8-10 inches.  Catching, well it was good but lots of Dink Perch.  I have done much better later in the day, say 12-1, than I have early in the morning, but with the warming weather, I wanted on and off the ice while it was solid.

The grandsons (4 and 2), had fun (eating doughnut holes is the main attraction) and putting fish in the bucket.  That was the most important reason for going!

Thanks for that report, glad you got the Gkids on some fish. I doubt most kids that age care about the size of the fish they catch, so I bet they had a good time.
