Looking to see if anyone is tracking to see if Deer Creek or Jordanelle opens up for boats by mid March.  Any info over the next 3 weeks would be helpful. Thanks
People were fishing both lakes 2 weeks ago. There was new ice last week on DC, but much of the lake was still open and you could launch at the main ramp.
I'm pretty sure both are open to launching, there is a camera at Jordanelle not sure about DC, hopefully someone will have some first hand info.
I just got back from a Sunday afternoon drive up that way. Deer Creek main ramp is ice free and there were several boats out. The dam was iced but not for long as well as the Wallsberg arm. It was open up to the Island marina, but it looked as if you would need to break ice out a bit to launch there.
Jordanelle, the north launch is iced and much of the north arm still has floating ice. I'm guessing it will be gone end of this week.
The PWC launch is open, but there is ice about 20' straight out and to the right. You should be able to skirt around the ice to the left and get out past the sheet. The ice is not very thick and rotten so depending on how cold it gets tonight I think tomorrow's temps should take it off that south side. It was 45* when I was there about 2:30.
The cameras at Jordanelle are not up for the PWC side - wish they would get that fixed - would have saved me a recon trip today.

Thank you!
Launched from the PWC ramp this morning. We were the only boat on the pond. Fishing was slow, 5 bows, 0 kokanee.

Thanks for the report John, how did the main ramp look?
Main ramp was still iced in but it won't be long. The temps should take it in the next couple days - a little wind could take it immediately.
