Just thought I'd drop in and make everyone a little jealous.
My GF (Troutbabe) and I got a wild hair about 10:00 this morning, loaded up the car, bought a digital camera (my first which is wierd since I've been a computer geek for a living the last 10 years) and headed up to Little Hole on the Green River.
We started fishing towards the dam using Minnow Spins and got all the way to the bathrooms without a bite. We turned back and I changed over to a jointed Rapala J-9 Brown pattern and had two Browns in 10 minutes. Mindsoup tied on a blue/chrome Smithwick Rattlin' Rogue minnnow and nailed her first Brown in two casts. It was only about 13-14 inches, but hey, it's a fish! I caught one more, then she tied into a nice 17-18 inch Brown to make us both very happy. I caught one more on the way back to the car.
The weather couldn't have been much nicer. The wind came up a couple of times, but died off just as fast. It was about 35-40 degrees and all of the snow is melted off the boat ramp side of the river. The roads and parking area are clear of snow and just had a little water here and there from all of the melting snow.
