[Sad] LOOKS LIKE I MISSED THE FULL MOON AGAIN. I ONLY GET OFF ON THURSDAYS . BUT IF THE WHEATHER HOLDS OUT I'LL GO FISHING ANYWAY. JUST WANT TO TEST THE FULL MOON THEORY.

They full moon was actually on the past Saturday. I got plenty of testing and good results. Check out my fishing report for Catalina Island on the CA board. My son and I had good evening results for Friday and Saturday.

which therie are you testing? and on what species?

whether or not the fishing is better 3 days either side of the full moon. The water is still ice to 35 degrees around here. but i'm going after largemouth. they bite in the cold water but you have to fish real sloooooooooooooooooooooooooow and put it in their face.

I can tell you from my experience the rumor to be true, but dont take my word for it.

in addition this time of year you need to fish deap a well. 10 - 20 feet. down in to the thermalcline where the temp stays the same year round.

40' IS THE BOOTM OF MOST LAKES AROUND HERE, THEY ARE ALL MAN MADE. THE ONE I DO MOST OF MY FISHING AT IS 34' AT THE DEEPEST HOLE THE AVERAGE IS 20'. IT'S ONLY 334 ACRES BUT IT'S FREE TO FISH THERE AND THERE ARE SOME BIG FISH IN IT .

did they add some structure in the design?

if so target that area. we had several guys with aqua veiws this past ice season. and to our surprise we saw that all the species were haunting the same area. pike as well.

the structure I fish on is a 5 gallon bucket filled with cement. it was one of our pontoon raft ancors lost years ago and has been serving as my fishing spot for many years now. I had managed to keep it a seacreat for almost 15 years. the aura veiw gave away my secreat.

it realy dose not take much of a structure to bring fish to think of it as shelter. the aqua veiw dose not get you any more fish, it dose how ever let you know that they are there.

THEY ADD STRUCTURE EVERY YEAR THEY SINK OLD CHRISTMAS TREES . I DON'T CARE IF I CATCH ANYTHING I JUST WANT TO GO FISHING HAVEN'T BEEN SINCE OCTOBER.

ouch I know the fealing. 10-14 weeks of fishing withdrawals I have to go through every spring and fall. you are comming upon 6 months.... you talk about a dry spells [unimpressed] that rough.

Hey FisherMOM, Take a look at the Polls and Surveys board. There was a Poll done recently with some very good comentaries from most of the regular member about the moon and it's effects on fishing.

I'm sure that since you are a newer posting member here, it may take you some time to look through all the archives. After doing so, you can become familiar with some of what's going on here and where some of us stand on our opions, facts and presumptions.

I hope you do thoroughly enjoy this site as much as I and all the rest do.

Hey tuben...

I DID see that as a matter of fact, but didn't have time to read it all. Then, after I saw this post, it made me stop and think there must be something to the MOON thing! Thanks!

Believe me.... I have been sifting through the archives pretty good already!

Hey there Dave, That's kind of funny that you fish by a five gallon bucket[laugh] lol, but hey whatever works right! So what kind of fish did the bucket call in?
[signature]
hmmmm.is there any spyware in it?

If not, then that sounds cool!!

[sly] Bucket Mouth Bass!!! ... lol [sly]

the guys saw bass, trout, perch, gills, crappie, and yes even pike were haning around the bucket structrue. at times they could not count the number of fish hanging around the bucket. they would spin the camrea around in circles to veiw the fish and was amazed to see the fish coming right up and bite at the lense.

it was amazing to see how a small sturcther would create the amount of activity they were veiwing when the fish were not biting.

[#804040]I think that The Weather Channel can be considered a reliable sourse of information. By the way it is 75 degrees right now according to my tool bar thermometer.[/#804040]
