A buddy of mine and I went to Jordanelle Wenesday morning. We got there at 7:00 A.M. I didn't know they locked the gate. Any way there was a public servant there about 7:20 who let us in. We went on the side were the personal water craft launch is. The ice is about 20" thick but I would guess only 8" of that is good. The edges were were still good and on that particullar day it didn't get slushy.It was sunny but windy. Between the two of us we caught about 40 perch. We fished in water ranging from 9'to 38'deep. We tried a variety of ice flies and jigs tipped with wax worms, nightcrawler or perch. The average fish was a dissapointing 5".
