Anyone know for certain if the ice is still accessible at Jordanelle and where would be the best place to get on at. I'm thinking of heading up there this afternoon. Also, what are the fees at Jordanelle? Thanks for any info.

Before you go check this thread -- a guy fell through the ice yesterday and had to be rescued. He's lucky to be alive today.

Does it seem funny to you that he was wearing a wet suit? That is what I read.

Just drove the whole west side and it still looks good in many places. Probally living on borrowed time though.

Almost sounds like he new he would be going in the drink. Nobody wears a wetsuit ice fishing. Was he walking out near open water maybe? Beats me.

Probably testing a new toy and looking for his 15 minutes of fame (that could have cost him his life)

Hey, better safe than sorry. If I wanted to go ice fishing late in the season with the ice melting as fast as it is now, I would take any precaution I could. That wet suit or waders saved that guys life.I don't think he was looking for his 15 minutes of fame, who would want to stay in ice water for 45 minutes, plus life flight is like an automatic $5000.00 or more charge that isn't covered by insurance.
