Why did that thread get locked? It was one of the best discussions we have had on this site for some time. Is it so we can discuss Arizona White Bass, or maybe the moderators dinner instead? What gives?

I didnt like some of the language that was being used, some of the attitudes being displayed, and felt the post was moving from its original topic to one of argumentitive personal opions about other issues.
This is a classic example of what we have seen here so many times in the past. History has shown us that this is the pattern for posts that get out of line and become problem posts.
Just stopping a problem before it becomes a big one.
I agree it was a good post. Lets let the topic cool a bit.

1 post had some language....in the whole thread....but hey, your the moderator!

I'd rather see you guys step in and stop a problem before it gets out of hand and becomes a bigger problem. Thanks for keeping us on the straight and narrow.

Thank you for stopping it. After a while I refused to even read it anymore because of where it had gone. The people on this site are really, really cool. I love tuning in several times a day and hearing what everyone has to say. But when members of BFT start to go at each like that, I tune out. I think healthy discussions are great. I've joined in on many myself. But there has to be a limit and I believe that limit was reached a while back. I think the BFT members here are way above that kind of stuff and that is why this site is so great. Let's keep it that way. Smiles.

Sorry PBH, guess I'm the one to blame for getting the thread locked. I thought we were having a good discussion. Sorry if I made anyone upset. I'll have to watch myself from now on or go play somewhere else...
Thanks for keeping us in line, Predator! That's why we've got moderators.

Yep, we locked it up to talk about the moderator's dinner. BTW, you are sending in a nice, big, healthy donation because of your admiration of us mods, aren't you?

I have to agree with matador on this one. I stopped reading it as well because it got away from fishing and was more aimed at personal digs and stuff like that. I have noticed we have had a lot more of this kind of stuff lately and wish some of it would be stopped a little sooner. I read a post today where somebody told somebody to stop talking out of their ass or something like that. I though personal digs were not allowed and would be taken off. Why not something like that???? This board is not for this kind of crap. If you have something to say about fishing then say it, if not don't resort to personal digs and crap that keep other people away. These other people have a lot of good stuff to share and have come here because other boards are not as closely monitored and moderated. I don't want to have actually found a message board I can enjoy get ruined because people can't restrain themselves which keeps good info off our boards.
It seems like every time the DWR gets brought into a discussion you can count on personal digs and fights. If I see the DWR in discussions now I don't even read them. In fact, I read a lot less of the messages now that there is more fighting than sharing. I get plenty of negative crap at work from the scum of the earth, I don't need to log on to find more from people that love fishing as much as I do. I know I'm not the only person that feels like this and I really don't want to see this board go down because people have no personal control over themselves.
