how is the ice fishin doing at flaming gorge and if anyone knows fontenelle or Viva Naughton? if i cant fish open water the next best thing is the hard surface fishing. has anyone been doing good for the macks at the gorge? where is the best place to go for the macks at the gorge and what to use and how deep? what about rainbows or browns at the gorge? any info at all or at least an update of ice conditions at viva naughton and or fontenelle would be great. also could get out the pontoon and go float a section of the green? i have been to strawberry almost like ten times this year and am lookin for a new place to go.
thanks

]I agree with BLM,, get to the Gorge while the ice holds up.. I wish I could manage another run up there this coming weekend.. But I'll probably be working prespawn eye's instead....
Speaking of eye's, does anyone have a recent report on the ice condition at Starvation?

The fishing at the Gorge has gotten slower each week for the past month for me. I've fished there every weekend since January, but after last weekend I am done with it until the ice is gone. I plan to give Fontanelle a try this weekend. Any reports on Fontanell would be appreciated. I have heard that Viva Naughton has been slow all winter. Wherever you go, good luck.

Made a run through Fontenelle and Viva Naughton on President's day. Fontenelle was very dead. Dropped the vex through about 15 holes and never showed a single fish. Viva Naughton was a little better. Fished for six hours. Got two 18 inchers through the ice. Lost two more on the way up. Talked to some locals who fish often and they said it had been slow all year.
hope this helps!
