I've never fished minnows before do i put a bobber on or do i reel him in?

I've found it best to just use a bobber, no weight, and let the minnow do the attracting by swimming around. Pretty soon, that bobber will sink out of sight and you have a fish on. Enjoy.

you could try adding one to a jig or try a float two hook crappie rig works great and the minnows dont tangle up also hook through lips or just below spine to better hookups,and add a little salt help keep them lively.
