does anyone use any special dough when they fish for carp? i like to use a dough with bran flakes, vanilla,cornmeal, strawberry kool aid, and a little corn juice.

I just made a batch for the season. Dry, crushed up cat food, french bread dough and a little bit of tuna fish all mixed together. Gets carp and catfish pretty good. Also, sometimes when we have it left over some whole grain breads will kill them.

I have training in Salt lake every so often and would love to get some more first hand info, and I may be sneaky and steal some of your bait for my wife to use while I bowfish.

[font "Arial"][size 2]Uncooked bread dough the rhodes rolls works great. Stays on the hook lot's longer than white bread smashed on the hook. Haven't tried adding anything but might have to give it a try.[/size][/font]

well i don't even use bait me an my dad just snag fish for them
we use a gigantic trebble hook we have got verry good at it we can go and catch 10 of them 1 or 2 hours we either get waiters on ond wade out in shallow water were you can see them and cast over there bag and estimate about when the hook should be reaching about six inches away and jerk real hard . or if we are on a river in a boat we wait tell we see a group of them in the water sponing then do the same thing
if you have a hard time estimating when your hook is getting close put bober on a foot away from your hook then use is to judge wer it is at
it is also great fun realing in carp because when you snag fish them you have to real them in side ways.
(also carp are non-game fish so it is leagle)
dont plan on this at the party its still probabley to early
for them to be floating on the water
