I went to the pumphouse area of the jordan river on sat. with my wife. We had a great picnic at the park there just south of the little model airplane place. We were going to fish right there in the river from the bank sitting in our camp chairs, but the whole river right there was dried up!!! There was nothing but a little bit of mud! So what's going on? Did they completely shut off the dam so no water would come out of the lake? I just don't get it. I noticed when we were leaving that there was a little water where the river goes under the road by the model airplane runway, but was it stagnant or does water come out of the left fork right there too? I've never gone up the left side of this "v" in the river, I've always fished by the park by walking across the dam on the metal walkway. Anyone have any anwsers?

I went down sat. also. Were about haif way between the pump house and the lehi cross road. I thought the water would be running but nadda. All I caught were bullheads maybe 6".

That's because I screamed at Provo River water users for letting Utah Lake go dry... actually just kidding, it is because the water level is crucial for the farmers down the road and they are not planting right now, not until april anyways. Waiting for the water to rise from the snow run-off, and they will let a trickle out to reach those what's left of those waterhog farmers on its way to Great Salt Lake.

Makes sense. I wish we had more control over water and how it's used. The DWR should have some sort of plan where each year they buy up a certain amount of water rights. That way, eventually they'll have enough clout to actually decide where water goes and when by what fish and wildlife need it most.
