The stream is pretty much getting back close to normal now. It's up ever-so-slightly, is just a tad "milky", and it's still fairly fast (that's not a bad thing, though, as it means a good flow is coming out of the spring now).

We're starting to hear more and more about top-water fishing (listen up, all you dry fly enthusiasts), and for many, the conditions are now just about how they like it to be.

 What's Working Best?

Following are our #1 picks, based on what we've been told by anglers so far this week:

Jigs: Black & yellow - hands-down favorite for first thing in the a.m. ,and other times of the day are working well too.

Mini jigs: White Floss (it's on our favorites list a lot of times, but it's been especially good the last week or two. It's called "floss", because it's tied with 2 strands of white embroidery floss. In addition to the ones we normally carry with white painted heads, we now also have some with gold-plated heads, and these have really taken off the last couple of days).

Glo balls: Flame or Chartreuse w/Flame (tie). Or as one fisherman put it when racing up to the counter and grabbing a handful of the chartreuse w/flame glo balls the other day, "give me some of those babies, quick! They're killin' 'em!"

Other: Still the "Bumblebee" Rooster Tail.

Dry flies: Renegade (especially the bigger size, #12, skipped)

Nymph: Another repeat, the copper-body Copper John.

Zone 3: Orange Power Bait
